The Museum of the History of Polish Jews opens today

The Museum of the History of Polish Jews opens today, 19 April 2013 in Warsaw, on the 70th anniversary of the start of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

A big day in Warsaw’s history.

I will be visiting the Museum on 10 May.

  1. Hi Eli, very interesting as my fathers family were Polish/Jewish , from 91 Marszalkowskaa street in Warsaw. of 49 members of the family before the war, only 3 are known to have survived, my father, 1 aunt, and a cousin, all the rest perished.
Unfortunatly because of the trauma of wat, my father, who was a medical doctor, never spoke much about his family. I have recently been researching the family history, and through that came accross distant cousins, in America, who did not know they had Jewish backgrounds.
I also live in Perth, so I wish you a pleasant roots trip.
